Built for the counter
It works on the battered Android scanner in the warehouse and the office PC that's been on since 2019. Big buttons, no training day.
Wired into what you've got
It'll pull your price files in and push straight into Sage. If your supplier sends a CSV with the columns swapped every other month, we'll deal with that as well.
You own the code
Code, database, hosting, all of it in your accounts with your name on the bill. If you sack us off next year the tool carries on and another developer can pick it up.
It handles the Friday
Forty orders stacked up and the phone going is the state we build for, because that's when you'll need it. Anything holds together in a demo.
A fixed price up front
You get a number and a date before we write a line of it. If the job grows halfway through, we'll tell you what that costs before we do the work.

We built the CRM and operations system that runs Embello's day to day: 50,000 products, 100,000 customers, next day turnaround, production in Tamworth. We built the Lordwell website as well, 56,000 product lines with live UK stock and next working day delivery. We take a handful of builds at a time, so you get people who know your business. Watch you work
We come to you and watch the job get done. Where the paper is and who's got the spreadsheet. Half a day, and it costs you nothing.
Stage 02
One page, one price
We write down what the tool does, what it won't do, what it costs and when it lands. If a £40 a month product does the same thing, we'll say so here and we can all get on with our day.
Stage 03
Build and show
We build it and put it in front of you every week. Your team uses it on real orders while it's half finished, which is when you'll spot what we've got wrong.
Stage 04
Live, then left alone
It goes live on a quiet morning and we stand behind the counter while your lot use it. We fix whatever annoys them in the first fortnight. After that it should run without us.

Why not just buy something off the shelf?
Most of the time you should, and we'll say so. Off-the-shelf covers the common jobs well, and if a £40 a month product does what you need we're not charging you thousands to rebuild it. Custom earns its keep when the job is odd, or when the thing you need doesn't exist as a product.
What happens if the person who builds it moves on?
More than one person here knows your system, so nobody is a single point of failure. We write plain code, nothing clever, no framework nobody's heard of, and the code and the notes live in your accounts with your name on them. Any competent developer could pick it up in a day, and we'll tell you who we'd ring if we're ever not about.
How long does one of these take and what's it cost?
A small tool like a stocktake counter or a goods-in scanner is a few weeks. A quoting tool with real pricing rules and customer-specific discounts takes longer, and we'll give you the number before we start rather than bill by the hour and hope. If someone quotes you nine months for an internal tool, ask what they're doing for eight of them.
